OK, got the sump off, thrust washers lying in the bottom. I'm gonna start inspecting now. The rear main seal is intact, and everything looks OK so far. I am now gonna pull off the rear main bearing. But a random thought occured to me-- What exactly do I look for to see if the block is shot? I know I need to look on both the crankcase and the crank, but how can I tell if any wear is too much? Suggestions? Keep your fingers crossed. Kevin |
