 Bruce:

Roger Williams ("How to restore your TR4/5/250/6") recommends
urethane for the top bushings (only) as he feels the standard rubber
bushings are under designed. I went with stock rubber because, well,
just because. My stock ones were shredded at 70,000 miles.
Nylatron is for racing only, much too harsh for street. I have
used urethane on other cars, and the squeaking drove me crazy, so I went
back to rubber. Greasable urethane, or graphite impregnated urethane
solves this problem.
If you can lick the squeaks, urethane is much more durable (won't rot)
and can be had in various durometers (hardness) to suit your tastes.

        All IMHO, of course....

I need to redbush my front end and would like some input from the group.
TRF
has 3 different kits: stock rubber, performance urethane, and race
quality
nylatron with prices almost doubling from rubber to race quality
(although
price is not necessarily the driving factor here). I'm leaning towards
non
rubber and would like to know if there is a substantial benefit to the
nylatron vs urethane and is there really a harsher ride with non rubber.
Would
appreciate recommendations.
Thanks,
Bruce
