Oops:
I finally figured out what this thread is about. It is not the
gas tank to filler cap seal, it is the rubber "bung" on the cap itself.
Doh!
*PLEASE* disregard my previous demented ravings....
YES! I purchased my replacement on eBay. He has a stash of
these,
or is making them. Email him, or wait a bit, he will put another one
up for sale.

Jeff:
I have not done this personally, but couldn't you go to a good
auto parts store and
see what they can do? This is not that odd a part. Many cars from that
era used a similar
sort of scheme, so I would think that you could find something that
would work, or could
be trimmed to fit.
Also, how did the inspector manage to see that puppy? It's
hidden behind various
panels... Do they make you disassemble the trunk?

Subject: TR6 won't pass inspection
Hi Again,
Went to get the TR6 through state inspection today, thought I had
everything
ok until the inspector said the seal from the gas cap to the filler
neck,
part no. 834-907 was not sealing properly, is cracked etc. I didn't
know TX
even checked that. Anyways, called Moss and Little Car British Co. and
they
said that seal is no longer available.Does anyone know of another
company
that may sell something like that?
Thanks..
