I never had a problem getting the cir clips out but i guess thats the
difference between a florida car and one from the northeast. But they have
to come out before the u joints come out.
I tried banging the u-joint out with a hammer to no avail. ( like the book
shows)
I went to a local mechanic ( i was in Mass at the time) A 1 1/4" socket on
one side , a small socket on the other to drive it out and a big vise gets
the u-joint out. Once the cap is exposed, I used the vise to pull the cap
off.
