I'm planning the Winter wish list and jobs-I'll-never-get-around-to jar.
My '74 has rotten footwells which were repaired by the/a previous owner by
pop-riveting in plastic panels to cover the hole. Actually, that stop-gap
works well for now; but it's not a bona-fide fix. I'm concerned about future
rot damaging the floor's stressed edge structure.
Question: Is there a good source (thread/book/article/webpage) for ideas on
how to *inexpensively* repair (pause for laughter to abate...) the footwell
portion of the floorboards?
