John---Send me your address off-list. I may have some +.020 oil rings
nearly new, taken from broken pistons.
Drill thru the alum. galley plug and use an E-Z OUT. OR,
If there's enough of this plug still sticking out of the block, can you
cut a new slot with a hacksaw blade?
I know it is written to use new bolts for the rods and mains, but I
don't. If these bolts pass the "stretch test" I re-use them. Same goes
for head bolt/studs. If you don't overtorque them, they generally won't
stretch. If your engine is capable of exceeding redline and done
regularly, disregard this last paragraph.
Now make a good Act of Contrition!
