Josh,
Here's a quick battery check you can run yourself. After it's been on the 
charger or the car's been driven sufficiently to charge the battery, touch a 
voltmeter to the negative and positive terminals and see what your reading is. 
I'm 
betting you'll get less than 12.7 volts. In that case, you can charge it 'til 
Christmas, but it won't hold a charge. A fully charged battery at rest will 
read 12.7 volts. Anything less means it won't hold a charge and needs to be 
replaced.
