One thing you can check is the vapor line from the tank to the carbon
canister. A few inches from the canister there is an inline limiter with a
very small hole. When this hole gets plugged it creates a vacuum in the
tank and the gas won't flow until the pressure equalizes. Next time it
happens open the gas cap and see if it sucks air as you open it. If it does
you got vacuum. Clean the limiter and see if that helps. Ask me how I
