Alan---A quick and fairly reliable way to detect a stock cam from a performance cam, without engine tear-down is with a vacuum gauge. The stock cam should show around 20 in., while performance cams will be much less. The S-2 signal is down around 12 inches at idle. The longer the valve overlap, the less vacuum the engine will pull at idle. Dick |
