I think they were 'flat' tappet wrenches and if
memory serves, they were used (or
intended) to adjust valves on flat head engines.
Think maybe the adjuster was located at the top of
the tappet or lifter as it was the only reasonable
place to put it - or something like that. They
were thin 'cause there wasn't a whole lotta room
in there. Maybe geezerdome won't be so bad after
all.
