Take it to your local powder coating company. Have them media blast and powder coat. Then when assembling use some graphite powder on the surfaces that slide on each other. This way the metal is cleaned and sealed, and the lubricant will not get smeared on the carpet etc. How often do you adjust your seat? Robert L.
