In response to your question, in my 1970 German export PI car, the lights at 
the bottom of the speedo and tach are as follows:

Speedo left--Blue high beam indicator
Speedo right--Green trafficator
Tach left--Green oil pressure indicator
Tach right--Red ignition light

Remember, I have the older style Smith's gauges, and my speedo shows Km/hr.
