Try using a wire brush. You can get 4" brushes that attach to a drill and it
works well. It worked for me. Then you can apply a coat of clear spray
paint.

Good luck,

Patrick

Subject: Clutch Master Cylinder Restoration

Howdy listers,
I have a good used clutch master cylinder - perfect bore, but it looks
like doody (dirt and wear) on the outside. I have wiped down with goof
off but it didn't help, tried a little dremel tool buffing but it didn't
work well. Any ideas on how to restore the outside to make it look like
new. I have tried repainting before but the aluminum spray paint never
"stuck" well. Any ideas would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
