Greg---Going with a FI system can mean that the engine will tolerate a cam with more lift and valve overlap, and still give decent pull down low and a reasonable idle. Such a cam would be one like the S-2 grind, as described in Kastner's Prep Manual. It would bring you real close to what the 150 HP TR5 engine enjoys. If the FI conversion does not happen, you will be happier with less cam, or be content that the engine power will be delayed till further up in the rpm band. Dick T. L.A. |
