short answer, and the one that works (almost) every time- compressed
air. That is, you want to "blow" the pistons out. In actual operation ,
hydraulic pressure moves the pistons out in the operating brake system.
Just use compressed air to do the same thing. The "trick" with a 2
piston caliper is to get them both to move out as far as possible
without having one break free and release the pressure, leaving the
other still deep (and stuck) in its bore.If this happens, you have to
seal off the open side to put pressure back on the remaining piston.
I`ve used several small pierces of 1/4" plywood stacked between pistons
to keep them both in until both are moving. Then gradually remove pieces
of wood until both are out (or nearly so). HTH,
