another suspension question to the wise...
After I bought my 1st TR6, I took my car to a triumph "specialist" for a
"once over". I had some clunking in the back of the car when I 1st started
off. The guy shook the rear wheels and told me I needed new hubs. I just
took the hubs and outer axels off the car and was surprised at how good they
were. The hubs move freely with only a little in-out movement. You really
can't even detect that when the hubs are off of the car. I was surprised at
how much movement was in the splines. Maybe this is the source of my the
"clunk" ( the trailing arm bushes, shock mounts, links, diff all seem ok) My
question is...How much play in the hubs and splines is ok? I hate to spend
>$500.00 on unecessary repairs
I could use some advice
