Listers,
My $0.02:
In June I installed a Prestige Autotrim beige mohair top on my '72
TR6. I also replaced the entire interior, seat covers and carpets
(went from black to beige, all Prestige). I'd agree that it does
take a bit more time to install the top, but it was absolutely
worth it, and it does fit.
My one complaint is that the vinyl windows are much thinner than
the old vinyl top(Robbins) I had. And, they get this sticky film
on them EVERY 2 weeks or so. Have to wipe them off (inside and
out) with a windex like product and they do come clean, but two
weeks later - you can hardly see through them. Airborne industrial
waste? Smog? Salt from the Atlantic Ocean? I don't know.
At car shows, I usually leave the top up because it complements the
new 'sort-of Delft' blue paint job.
