The stainless steel header I installed on my TR250 was purchased from TRF. I
machined the flange very slightly to insure flatness . I removed the intake
manifold to fit it and encountered some interference .I had to do some
grinding on the intake manifold to eliminate the interference and inside the
tubes to deburr weld spater and such. On the early head the intake manifold
is shorter so the pipes must curve more tightly which makes the tightening
procedure more difficult . I even polished it thinking it would stay that
way but it discolored rather fast. I don't mind though. The header had to be
fitted , it's not just a bolt on procedure at least not for me . As far as
Rimmer goes I never purchased anything so cannot comment.
