I don't see why weights should fall off the inside more readily than the
outside. My guess would be that the wheel wasn't clean enough and the weight
adhesive let go. Perhaps you could watch closely when the shop attaches the
weights and be there with a rag and some alcohol to clean the spot. I'm sure
the installer probably does nothing more than wipe the wheel with a dirty wet
rag!
I have such weights on the inside of my 4Runner alloys and after a Colorado
winter and off-road dust and mud they are still firmly attached!
