I started driving my 6 in 1994 when I turned 16 and got my license. It was
my daily driver all through high school, and this worked out quite well.
The only problems I had with it were mainly due to my own stupidity (i.e.
racing friends who had Mustangs and the like: TR6s are NOT drag racers, I
learned this the expensive way after breaking a transmission, the frame
mounts where the diff bolts in, and stripping the teeth of the crown wheel
& pinion). I'm now a bit wiser, and I don't beat the car. Now that I'm in
college, I leave the car at home. But during summer break, the car is my
daily driver again. From June to December of last year I had an internship
and the 6 gave me reliable transportation everyday. Started everyday
without hesitating and always got me where I wanted to go. These cars make
fine daily drivers as long as you maintain them properly.
