Jim, You are correct....the switch is really the vacuum retard switch you
decribe; it evidently was improperly identified for me by another person.
Did you remove it from your '74, or modify it somehow? By the way, I made
a typo in my last message concerning the car's idle speed on a hot day with
the air running. It really is only about 1500 rpm rather than 2200. I don't
know what I was thinking of when I said 2200. As for selling the air, I am
still trying to decide what to do; I certainly will keep your offer in mind.
