The rubber piece that holds the end bar in place is only intended to do just
that. I t is not designed to keep the visor in an up position. To make it
function properly do the following:
As you have it now, mark the two bars on either side of the plastic visor in
order to know how far in the bar is to be re-inserted. Then remove both bars.
With a pair of pliers and a rag squeeze the tube inside the visor in two areas
about an inch apart. The rag is so that you don't break the vynal.  Squeeze just
enough so that when you re-insert the bars you will have a resistance that will
enable you to keep your visor up while driving. Insert your bars to the precise
markings and reattach to said area. Hope this helps.
