This car is a DKW Belcar, from 1966. As you can see, there are some diferences if compared with the 1958 model: the eggcrate, the bumpers and the front doors (that are conventional, not suicide ones like on the older car). The engine is a two stroke three cylinder, with 980cc and 50 bhp. This car was a hit among taxi-drivers and racers alike!

Dashboard of a 1960 Belcar. The design remained almost the same until 1967.

This is what's under the front hood of a DKW Belcar 1965. You shoud hear this engine - it's like music! (Maybe the Wartburg sounds the same...). In 1965, the brazilian DKW-Vemag models were equipped by the first time with the "Lubrimat". It was a pump that, moved by the engine, mixed two stroke oil with gas, in the right proportion. You can see the Lubrimat on the right side of the engine.
