Looks like you purchased the uprated water pump. Like Vic menti=
oned, the pulley is held on with a nylock nut (and maybe a flat washer).&nb=
sp; The pulley is also keyed on the shaft, so you must align the woodruff k=
ey in the shaft with the broached slot in the pulley hole. Make=
sure the key is fully seated and not tipped (which could prevent the pulle=
y from fully engaging). As Vic suggested, remove the pulley from the =
new pump and install the long bolt. Position the pulley on the&=
nbsp;shaft to engage the woodruff key. Seat the pulley on the shaft w=
hich should expose the threads and secure the fastener. If there=
is room in front of the engine, the pulley can be installed after the wate=
r pump is mounted. Make sure the pump is oriented correctly on t=
he pump housing so the weep hole is facing downward. P.S. don't=
hold the waterpump in a vice by the impeller.

I was able to get the old water pump off and it was clearly wor=
n out. The old pump had a nut to get the pulley off. The new on=
e does not. I=E2=80=99m assuming the new one is machine fit. Be=
fore I break it. How do I go about getting this bolt into the water p=
ump housing. Pictures included.
