Hey Nick, Thanks for the "squash" tube tip. I'll be putting the rear carriers together on the griff and the info will come in handy. Your explanation makes sense. I was wondering about that very question...what happens to this whole assy. with heavy side loading? What would prevent the squash tubes from squashing more? Your notion of using a non-squashable tube and shims just may be the ticket. Dave |
