Not sure I would consider Apple Hydraulics the best at Carb rebuilding, I had 
Joe Curto https://www.britishsuperior.com/  rebuild mine a few years back 
and while expensive he did great work. Also Ken's carb rebuilding (Poolboy) 
(Google it with carb rebuild and you will find him) is well respected in the 
Triumph community but I have no first hand experience.

This is absolutely an appropriate  query to the NBTG. I expect you'll have 
some helpful responses. I personally am surprised that Apple Hydraulics seems 
to have botched the job - they're supposed to be the best.
