First off, 3rd and 4th gear use the same isolator switch but a different
actuator shoe on the shaft. It
could need to be a little tighter for third gear. OR sometimes the rubber
shift boot bunches up where
the shifter shaft hits in the front and doesn't go as far.
It also needs another switch for 2nd gear. Perhaps they used a tranny top
for a J OD which doesn't
have a switch for 2nd gear. OR the 2nd gear switch doesn't work.
