 I drove my TR6 (CD175 Zenith/Strombergs) from St. Louis (alt 600 ft) to Br=
eckenridge (10,000 ft) and then up Pike's Peak (14, 010) and the only issue=
I had was the car was not too willing to idle at 14,000 ft.=C2=A0 I'm sure=
it wasn't optimal but it worked well enough for the short trip (VTR).

Hi all,
This coming summer my wife and I are planning a fairly long trip in my TR4A=
=C2=A0 leaving from Cincinnati, Ohio (altitude approximately 500=E2=80=99).=
Our first destination is going to be Colorado Springs, Co. to drive up Pik=
es Peak (altitude approximately 14,115=E2=80=99). Then north to Mt. Rushmor=
e (altitude approximately 5,700=E2=80=99), then north to drive through Yell=
owstone national park (altitude approximately 9,200=E2=80=99). That=E2=80=
=99s going to be quite a swing in altitude and I am wondering if I will hav=
e to occasionally tune the SU HS-6 carbs? Has anyone on the list done a sim=
ilar drive? If so, how did your Triumph run and what did you have to adjust=
?
Thanks in advance!
Dave Connitt
