=E2=80=99m guessing that the oil pan flange and the head are parallel; they=
 certainly should be. A machinist can take the block and set it on a mill o=
r drill press table which should be perpendicular to the drill axis and dri=
ll the hole oversize to accept the insert of your choice. But as another sa=
id have the block checked to be certain the current hole is not cracked. Fi=
x it correctly and don=E2=80=99t look back. </p><p class=3DMsoNormal><o:p>&=
nbsp;</o:p></p><p class=3DMsoNormal>Another method might be to use a magnet=
ic drill base set up on the block surface making certain the drill is perpe=
ndicular to the block face. Positioning the drill correctly will take some =
