Hi all

My 1958 TR3 which I bought in May has suddenly started running a bit
hot. For the most part it will stay about 170 or so unless I get
stuck in traffic (it will creep up), but recently if I turn off the
car to go into a store when I get back the temp gauge is pinned. If
I start the cat it will slowly get back into operating range. I live
in Massachusetts but he car lived its entire life to now in Arizona
where it gets much hotter than it gets here.

I thought thermostat and replaced it with one of the reproduction
sleeve style thermostats from Moss but no joy.

The temp gauge was recently rebuilt and recalibrated by Nisinger, so
maybe it has always done this but the gauge didn't pick it up.

I'm thinking about installing an electric fan to just deal with this
problem (hopefully) once and for all. The fan from Moss has a fixed
thermostat at 185 and the one from Victoria British has a variable
one. Has anyone had experience with either of these two fans? Do you
need to cut anything to make them fit?

Any comments or suggestions here would be much appreciated.
