Perhaps the first 20 minutes was enough to generate pressure in the coolling 
system so that it is now forcing water&antifreeze into the cylinders.  
Inotherwords, maybe your heads (or one of them?) aren't sealing well.  
Still, if you aren't getting any cylinder to fire you'd have to have all 8 
of them bad.  That's a toughie.  Never heard of an engine refusing to fire 
when given ether.
