OPUS
system)and am going to put it back on my 1980 Spitfire. The problem is I,
like an idiot, forgot to note where the wires go to the coil. There is a
male connect (white w/black stripe) and a female (white wire). I can't
remember which is the positive and which is the negative or if both are
negative, etc. Your thoughts are appreciated.

If you have two wires with opposite connectors then I would expect that the
coil also has opposite sex connectors. My 74 TR6 had just such a set-up
making it somewhat idiot proof. Check out the coil.

Otherwise I would guess that the white wire is positive and the white/black
wire is negative.
