Robert,
The fastener is a TENAX I believe and when I installed my Robbins top many years
ago I used a leather hole puncher to cut holes in the weather flap AFTER
installation of the tenax fasteners to match the entry point of the female/male
tenax. The female tenax will NOT physically attach to the flap. The front of the
top is then attached as one piece to the top of the windshield. I copied this
from the old top the Robbins replaced. I know of no other way to attach the
weather flap. Also please use care when attaching the tenax female to the male,
Pull out the female tenax, make sure the female is centered on the male and then
push the female's button tight, otherwise you will bend one or more of the
female's tentacles!
I hope this is correct, my top is in excellent shape, over 13 years old and
keeps the water out!!
