Jim,
Don't know if I can help here but I'm the original owner of CF55433, '76TR6
assembled in May '76. I have the original carpet and brake handle on the
car. This past weekend I had the cover trim piece off as I was installing
an electric fuel pump and ran the wire to the rear through the brake line
grommet . The carpet was VERY snug as I slipped it past the brake handle.
I've never noticed at shows that earlier TR6's had handles different from
mine...but then I never really looked. My handle is just like the one shown
in the TRF master catalog. I would think that all aftermarket carpet sets
would have the same sized finished whole for the brake handle. But from
your experiences it seems not. Let me know if I can go out, look at my TR6,
and send you any measurements.
