I agree with what you said about the front, but check my reasons about the
rear:

1. Most grip in a turn will be from the loaded (outside) wheel in a corner
2. Toe out would give that tire force in the pre-turn direction (straight
tangent from the turning circle) and increase the likelihood of gross
oversteer (a spin) under power
3. Toe in would give the tire force in the direction of the turn (along the
turning circle) - up to some practical limit, of course
4. Inside wheel's gonna scrub more with toe in, but it's lightly weighted in
the turn
If 1-4 are true, toe in at the rear of a RWD car should increase speed in
turns while under power.

not that sure about the rear toe but I seem to recall that toe
out at the rear gets the car around the corner better. Toe in/out
at either end decreases straight line speed.
