I just obtained a complete list of Optima batteries, and there are lots of
them.

I am not sure which of the listed 'Layout, terminal assembly' numbers is
correct for my application?

I understand that I need to get a
'red-top' Optima SLI (Starting,Lighting,Ignition) Battery with a dark gray
case.

I know the amount of space that I have available to fit it into.

I know also that my Triumph Vitesse shares it's battery model & fitting with
the Triumph 2000 Sedan, the TR6 and TR7, as well as all models of Honda Civic.
(it's good to know these things!, I wish I knew which 'modern' cars my car
shared many more if it's parts with.)
It has two round posts which my bronze clamps bolt onto.

What I now need to know from all you happy Optima users is this:

What model number Optima is fitted in your TR6 or whatever Triumph you are
running?

Please let me know asap, as I would like to contact the nearest Optima agent
here on Monday morning.

My old Lucas battery is still weeping acid, even though it is not presently
fitted in my Triumph any longer, nor indeed will it be again!
(I am running my 12 volt work lamp from it in my lock-up garage, without any
mains power, so it is providing some use!)

Regards
