I've always used Champion CHL87YC. Never had any sort of plug related problem. IMHO--Don't bother with "platinum whatevers" or "Splitfire" etc. or funky ignition wires. Lucas "bumblebee" wires (solid core) work great, last long, and look cool . (but it's hard to listen to the ball game on AM) Yep - no wimpy resistor plugs, no weemy suppression wires! HA! HA! HA!
