Tim, In addition to chemical stripping, I also used several different wire brushes in an angle grinder. A coarse knotted brush will remove paint, rust, bondo, and anything else, including metal if you use too much pressure. I use a fine brush for areas that need to look good after painting. I had previously used an electric drill, but don't recommend this (except for areas the grinder can't get). I do this outside and wear a respirator, as it can be messy. Brian Kemp 72 TR6 |
