On my TR6 the threading is the same as the plugs on the gearbox. I kno
wcause I ordered a magnetic gearbox plug from Moss and it fits into my
oil pan (which is where I ordered it for in the first place).
I think the Bentley manual which says 3/8-18x is wrong. For all the
other plugs (gearbox and diff) it seems to say 3/8 UNF. I assume that
this is the correct threading.
However if yours is not even a 3/8 size hole then I have no idea what is
on your car.
