Hi all, DAve Terrick here.

The above noted 65 TR4a has emerged from stasis, somewhat worse for wear.

I parked this car in September 1989 when I bought the TR6. The idea
(foolish as I was as a "kid") weas to restore the TR4a while driving the
'6. Here we are seven years later. The TR6 is gone, the GT6 has arrived,
been restored, driven for a summer....etc. The offer of space in a climate
controlled (aka warm in winter) factory with (fully huge) compressors, MIG,
Plasma, sheet metal brake, etc, was too good to be true.

The factory owner, a TR guy himself, had kept this space more or less to
himself until now. Then he bought a TR3 (almost cost him his marriage).
Another friend of mine (not married, no danger of divorce) bought the other
car in the almost - ill - fated deal. So now there is a TR3, a TR3a, a
TR4a all sitting side by each, all to emerge soon in glorious mechanical
condition awaiting paint.

Has anybody out there got a spare few thousand dollars they can loan me?
i'm still recovering from the GT6 and the house...

Alternatively, maybe someone can refer me to the guy on the list who sells
at a discount to TRF and Moss prices. LAtely, I've noticed my local
supplier is getting a bit pricey. That's "OK" when it's a buck or two,
byt when a $120 floor (US) winds up at $250 cdn or so, you notice these
things.

....and of course all the metalworking equipment in the world won't help
the interior....or the motor...or the tranny...... my only saving grace is
that I swapped the frame on the '4 when I was 20 (in my parent's
garage...while they were away on holiday.... they came back to find both
bays occupied with rolling chassis and a bodyshedd hanging from the
rafters!) and the body doesn't need to come off again.

Any help? words of encouragement? parts? sources?
