Hi all, All of this talk about the rear end ratios on the GT6 has me thinking again about what would happen if you put a 3.63:1 or even a 3.27:1 rear end in an early (MK III) Spitfire. The high road speed RPM's have always bothered me, but so does the high cost of an O/D conversion not to mention how hard they are to find. I have heard everything from the 3:27.1 rear end is great in a Spit to it will eat your clutch. Any ideas? Bill Munts 1970 MK III Spitfire |
