YES! Somewhere in Tigerdom someone has a picture of a So. Cal. warehouse =
with the first shipment of Tigers to the west coast. There are a number =
of black cars in that (color) photo. To that end I tried counting =
because at #101 I was wondering if one of them was mine!

The rootes trust cert is basically a build sheet from the rooted trust =
archive. The same info norm could provide.
As for black being a special order... utter rubbish, colour code 1 was a =
stock tiger offering. If it had an interior other than red or black then =
it could have a special order interior, but black exterior was a stick =
offering.

Subject: Two questions
I just received the July issue of Hemmings. They list a Tiger that was =
sold at Godding and state that it had a Rootes Archive Center Trust =
Certificate. I had never heard of this. Is anyone familiar with this =
certification?
Second question relates to another statement in a Hemmings publication =
(Sport & Exotic Car). The interview with a Tiger owner who has a black =
car says that black was not a standard Tiger color and had to be ordered =
special. I wasn=E2=80=99t aware of this. Is this true?
