That is basically true but not totally. At the Pitts VGP, they welcomed me and
my Bugeye. It is a stock metal bonnet, 948 with a AH trans, lever shocks etc.
They are picky but an overall nice group group to run with. Driver quality was
very good in the group that I ran with.
I thnik they have acceptance criteria based on the event.
A good guy and one of their muckity mucks is Ralph Steinburg at
ralph@cloverleaf-auto.com
He was the race chairman at Pittsburg and encouraged me to come join them
