I've been thinking about a change to a Metro Radiator, having an issue with
high
speed sustained driving and temps climbing too much as a result of going
to a BE
Bonnet on my '68 Spridget. Fine around town but at 60-65 +
sustained temps climb
up. Frank used one from an Automatic Metro 88-92
Vintage. The one from the
Manual Tranny Cars was taller and would not fit.
When looking on line I ran across one shop advertising a Triple Row Core,
without a transmission cooler that showed dimensions of 12 3/4 x 12 3/4 and
1.5
" thick in Aluminum for $130. This is significantly shorter than the one
out of
the MEtro and although I haven't measured would likely fit in there
without
modifying the radiator shroud. I have several pics of Frank's Metro
Radiator
install in PIECES that I would be happy to forward. There are some
pics on the
Sprite Spot.com site under cooling showing Frank's radiator
setup.,
