So I'm assembling the 12G295 head now that its been milled. The little bugger
o-rings on the factory exhaust valves are a pain, I can't get the valve
retainers into place with them there. Can I just do without them without
hurting anything? It seems to me that they were there to quiet the valve
train. Granted, it allows the valve springs to be slightly more extended in
the closed position, but due to the constant extension load they shouldn't
move at all. Any thoughts?
