I am replacing the bearings in the front hubs of my 73 and I was wondering why the spacer is needed. There are ridges that capture the bearings and prevent them from moving inward. Is the spacer really necessary? Just wondering. Thanks, Monty Love Huntsville, Alabama 73 Going back together!! The greatest revolutions come not by the discovery of something new.
