I had an idiot of a Eugene, OR cop who told me it was a violation to drive to
the repair shop to get my brakes worked on. He literally screamed at me for the
best part of 30 minutes after his dispatcher informed him that my year of
issue, permanent plates were indeed valid. After I had a very polite chat with
his sergeant, I never saw him again. This particular traffic cop had an issue
with me since I refused to push a car that had turned left in front of my bus
out of the intersection when he ordered me to. I did move my bus, which was
still moving under its own power, but was transported to the hospital shortly
after.
If anyone in Oregon is interested in "Pacific Wonderland" plates, in mint
condition, for a 60 - 62, let me know. My brother had them restored for my
Morris, but I sold him and moved to NV and have no plans to return to Oregon.

Well now you are hearing about it.
A guy I know who owns a 60's Volvo Amazon has collector plates and was
pulled over by our city of Snoqualmie police and hassled about driving it to
work. He lives about 8 blocks from his work at the Snoqualmie Brewery
taproom.
He was told he would be fined if caught doing it again.
