There is no sear in an SKS that you can take out and have full auto fire. You can modify the trigger group and get it to fire to fire full auto but it is highly illegal to do so in the US. There were small numbers of select fire, full/semi auto SKSs made. They can be identified by a button type mechanism on the bolt. A few are rumored to have slipped into the US because people didn't know what to look for. The SKSs do have a floating firing pin that can malfunction and cause the gun to fire full auto until the magazine is empty. The firing pin essentially gets stuck in the forward position and the gun works like an open bolt auto. It takes corrosion (not hard to get if you use corrosive ammo) and lack of cleaning to cause it, but it can happen. You can search "SKS slamfire" for more info. _______________________________________________ Donate: http://www.team.net/donate.html Suggested annual donation $12.75 Archive: http://www.team.net/archive Forums: http://www.team.net/forums |
