It all depends where you live and what you use the vehicle for. Out here on
the high plains a pick-up truck is ubiquitous. This is agriculture country
and people use their trucks to haul lots of stuff for the farm. They are
also good tow vehicles and are frequently used as such around here. You
simply aren't going to be able to do that in a sedan or mini-van.
That said... I love driving our 2005 Silverado 4 door in city traffic back
east. It puts me high enough to see over most vehicles and scope out
traffic all around me. It gets 22 mpg on the highway (less in town) and is
VERY comfortable to travel in. We drive it from Kansas to Georgia to see the
kids a couple of times a year.
I have also towed the Midget with it ;-) (obligatory LBC content)
