Mike, et al...

One of my BMW motorcycle discussion groups has been going over this problem
recently. I'm not familiar with your Harley's set up but with our "K" BMW's
there is a fuel pump for the fuel rail and injectors and that pump is inside
the fuel tank and uses the fuel to cool it. The introduction of E10 ethanol
in fuel is suddenly causing major problems with these older set-ups.
Ethanol is hygroscopic, meaning it attracts water from the air. It then
becomes "gel" inside your fuel tank and clogs the injection pump and
injectors. Worse yet, in older applications, it dissolves the fuel lines
inside our tanks and damages the fuel pumps.

Google this: "ethanol in gasoline problems" and read the horror stories.
And this is just for E10!! Wait till we get to E80!!

Guys in California are the first ones reporting major problems with ethanol
fuels.... Sorry! Bad enough that ethanol in gasoline is a farce, it is
also being stupidly mandated by the government and is wrecking older engines
all over the US. Additionally, it is driving up the cost of corn to the
point where food prices are also on the rise nation wide.

We need a few more idiot politicians in the country. Then there'd be no more
problems because we'd all be barefoot, walking, and hungry.

Cheers!!
Jim

Then there was the mind reader who moved to Washington, D.C. and couldn't
find work.
